The Bolgatanga High Court has ordered the immediate release of a V8 Land Cruiser, the official vehicle of the Vice-Chancellor of the C.K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS), which had been seized earlier this month under a court order obtained by Matthew Zangina, an employee of the University.
The court, which further imposed costs of five thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc5,000.00) against Mathew Zangina in a ruling, delivered on Monday, October 27, 2025, has also directed that all assets unlawfully attached be released to the institution without delay.
A statement issued by the university’s Acting Head of University Relations, Abdul-Majeed Yussif, said the Presiding Judge held that, “the attachment of the assets of the 1st Respondent (CKT-UTAS) is unlawful. I therefore order that all assets of the 1st Respondent unlawfully attached should be released forthwith from every execution process initiated by the Applicant (Mr. Matthew Zangina) and the said assets released to the 1st Respondent forthwith.”
