Bolgatanga Central NDC welcomes Roland Atanga’s nomination as MCE
A statement signed by the Constituency Communication Officer, Aboyam Jacob said his appointment is a demonstration of his long serving commitment to the party.
The Communication Bureau of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bolgatanga Central Constituency, has welcomed the nomination of Roland Ayoo Atanga as Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bolgatanga Municipality.
A statement signed by the Constituency Communication Officer, Aboyam Jacob, said his appointment is a demonstration of his long serving commitment to the party.
The statement alludes that his past leadership experiences make him a perfect candidate for the position.
Roland Ayoo Atanga has, for several years, served as the Constituency Secretary of the (NDC) in the Bolgatanga Central Constituency.
He was named among 15 nominees for Municipal, District Chief Executives (MDC’s) in the Upper East Region on Friday, April 4, 2025 by President John Dramani Mahama.

CONGRATULATIONS TO HON. ROLAND AYOO ATANGA, THE LONGEST SERVED SECRETARY IN
BOLGATANGA CENTRAL CONSTITUENCY, FOR YOUR NOMINATION AS MUNICIPAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE FOR BOLGATANGA CENTRAL MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY.
The communication bureau of Bolgatanga central constituency extends our warmest congratulations to Hon. Roland Ayoo Atanga, the longest served secretary in the history of Bolga central for your nomination as municipal chief executive pending confirmation by the municipal assembly.
We do also extends our best regards to all our gallant, dedicated and committed leaders of the party who also went through the MMDCES processes, your time will soon come.
Hon. Roland Ayoo Atanga’s appointment is a clear demonstration of his outstanding commitment and contributions to the workings of party and mother Ghana from his student days as tein member and leader and back to the constituency and upper east region as well.
We are fortified in our minds that your nineteen(19) years and counting as a constituency executive coupled with other leadership roles you have played makes you more qualified for this dignified duty.
Members are more convinced and do not haven a scintilla of doubt in your vast leadership experience in the academia and the political space.
The constituency will soon see a fostering of closer relationship between and among stakeholders in the local governance set up to bring development and government to the doorsteps of the indigenes of Bolgatanga central.
