Affluence Global Co-founder upgrades community dugout to ease water challenges in Katiu Saa
Residents of Katiu Saa welcome the intervention, saying the improved dugout will boost dry-season farming, enhance food security, and support livelihoods in the community.

David Awia Kubaferi a native of Katiu Saa in the Kassena Nankana West District and a Co-founder of Affluence Global, has taken a significant step to upgrade a community dugout to better serve residents of the area.
The intervention comes at a time when access to water remains a major challenge for the community, particularly during the dry season when existing sources become unreliable.
The upgrading of the dugout is expected to improve water availability for both domestic use and farming activities.

Community members have warmly welcomed the initiative, describing it as timely and highly commendable. Many residents expressed optimism that the improved dugout will help sustain dry-season farming, thereby increasing food production and supporting livelihoods.
They further noted that the project will contribute to improved food security and stimulate economic activities in Katiu Saa and surrounding communities.
Residents also praised Kubaferi for his commitment to community development and called on other individuals and stakeholders to support similar efforts aimed at improving living conditions in rural areas.
