Friends of Prosper, a youth group in the Bolgatanga Municipality known for supporting Prosper Ayinbilla Awuni, has demonstrated its continued commitment to youth empowerment and community development through sports by supporting this year’s Ramadan Soccer Fiesta tournament.
At the grand finale held on April 19, 2026, the group donated a total of GHC 2,000.00 to the finalists, presenting Ghc 1,000.00 each to the winning team and the first runner-up. The gesture was aimed at motivating participating teams and recognizing their efforts throughout the competition.
In addition to the prize support, Friends of Prosper had earlier contributed Ghc 5,000.00 to the organizers to assist with the smooth planning and execution of the tournament. Their financial support played a key role in ensuring that the event was successfully organized.
Speaking on behalf of the group, one of its leaders, Isaac Ayariga, expressed appreciation to the organizers for the opportunity to contribute to the initiative. He reaffirmed the group’s readiness to continue supporting such programs in the future.
Friends of Prosper has consistently supported community-based initiatives. In 2025, the group sponsored the Frafra Unity Community Games, further highlighting its dedication to fostering peace and development through sports.
The Ramadan Soccer Fiesta tournament, organized annually has become a key sporting event in the Bolgatanga Municipality. It brings together various community teams to compete in a spirit of unity, discipline, and sportsmanship.
