NPP Communicator commends Paul Afoko’s call for data-driven party strategy

Chiana-Paga NPP communicator says evidence-based decision-making and grassroots engagement are key to rebuilding the party and improving its electoral fortunes.

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Chiana-Paga Constituency, Vincent Alhassan Abongpaari, has welcomed the proposal by National Chairman hopeful Paul Afoko for the party to adopt a data-driven approach in rebuilding and securing its future, rather than relying on assumptions and guesswork.

Speaking on the Big Mike Breakfast Show on Wednesday, May 27, Abongpaari said the party’s setbacks in the 2024 general elections could have been mitigated if greater attention had been paid to available data and realities on the ground.

“Everything ahead of the 2024 general elections pointed to the NPP facing significant challenges, but some people chose to rely on guesswork instead of the evidence before them,” he stated.

According to him, modern political parties must increasingly depend on credible data and research to shape strategies and make informed decisions, rather than focusing solely on the perceived weaknesses or shortcomings of their political opponents.

Abongpaari expressed confidence in Paul Afoko’s ability to champion such reforms and help reposition the party if elected as National Chairman.

He urged party members to pay closer attention to the needs and concerns of voters and develop practical solutions that address those challenges to improve the party’s prospects in future elections.

He further emphasized the importance of effective communication, grassroots engagement, and a data-driven decision-making process as critical factors for securing electoral success and strengthening the party’s long-term growth.
