Paga St Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church climax 10th anniversary
The church, which was established as an outstation of the Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Catholic Church in Navrongo in 1934, and became a rectorate in 2006, and in September Bishop Alfred Agynta raised the rectory to the status of a Parish and inaugurated it on 5th June, 2016.
The Clergy and Parishioners of the St Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church in Paga, under the Navrongo-Bolgatanga Catholic Diocese has climaxed it 10th anniversary with a thanksgiving mass.
The anniversary, held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, was marked with a Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by Rev Father Joseph Atadana, the Church’s first parishioner to be ordained a Priest.
In his opening remarks, the Parish Priest of the Church, Rev Father Augustine Ayaga said the celebration was to thank God for the growth of the Church in the area.

The Parish Priest, Rev Father Augustine Ayaga in his homily enchoring on the theme of the celebration, “United in Christ, Celebrating Our Journey Together through Love and Service” He admonished parishioners that Christian life is always on a journey, urging them to go forth in obedience in love, and in service.
“By virtue of our Baptism we are united with Christ, the is no one who is truly united with Christ and would not radiate love and service.”
“The Christian life is always on a journey, go forth in obedience in love, and in service, renewed and strengthened for the work of spreading the gospel.” He added.

The St Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church currently has seven outstations, including, St. Oscar’s Catholic Church, Kajelo – Gia, St Joseph Catholic Church, Nakol, St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Navio, and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Tizika – Bagtua.
The rest are Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Boania, and the St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Pindaa
