Peter Ayinbisa calls for unity ahead of NPP primaries
Ayinbisa appealed for calm, decorum, and caution in the lead-up to the internal contest.
Peter Ayamga Ayinbisa, the Upper East Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged party supporters and aspirants to conduct themselves in a manner that will preserve unity before, during, and after the party’s upcoming primaries.
Speaking on the Big Mike Breakfast Show on Monday, January 19, Ayinbisa appealed for calm, decorum, and caution in the lead-up to the internal contest.
“We should guard against utterances that have the potential to break our party into pieces, we must be mindful of our words and how we describe other candidates. That is why we keep reminding spokespersons and supporters to conduct themselves with decorum, decency, and a high level of maturity.”
He stressed that adherence to the rules and regulations governing the primaries would help ensure swift reconciliation after the contest and strengthen party cohesion.
Ayinbisa also assured party members that the NPP is fully prepared for the presidential primaries scheduled for January 31.
“The party, both at the regional and national levels, is more than ready to hold our presidential primaries on January 31 this year.” He stated. “
“All the necessary arrangements are in place, from venues to logistics. We have had several engagements with the aspirants to keep them updated, exhibited the party’s register, and made copies available to the aspirants. Everything is set.”
He added that the party is committed to delivering a free, fair, and transparent election, emphasizing that all stakeholders are “up to speed” to ensure a credible process.
