President Mahama nominates Zanator Agyemang-Rawlings, Ayariga as Ministers of State
President Mahama reshuffles ministerial team, nominates Zanetor Rawlings and Mahama Ayariga
President John Dramani Mahama has nominated Member of Parliament for Korle Klottey, Dr. Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings, and MP for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga, for appointment as Ministers of State.
According to a statement issued by the Presidency on Friday, August 7, the nominations have been submitted to Parliament through the Speaker for prior approval, in accordance with Article 78(1) of the 1992 Constitution.
Dr. Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings has been nominated as Minister of Environment, Science and Technology, while Mahama Ayariga has been nominated as Minister of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.

President Mahama has also reassigned two ministers to new portfolios.
Kenneth Gilbert Adjei has been reassigned to the Ministry of Defence, while Ahmed Ibrahim, MP, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Works, Housing and Water Resources.
The latest changes form part of the President’s ongoing adjustments to his ministerial team as his administration continues to pursue its policy agenda.
The nominations are subject to parliamentary approval before the nominees can formally assume their respective portfolios.
