Upper East Taekwondo Association promotes 36 athletes after 2025 examination

The successful candidates were presented with certificates after completing the rigorous assessment, which was designed to evaluate their skills, techniques, discipline, and overall progress in the art of Taekwondo.

The Upper East Taekwondo Association has successfully promoted 36 out of 40 athletes to their next belt level following its 2025 End of Year Taekwondo Promotion Examination.

The successful candidates were presented with certificates after completing the rigorous assessment, which was designed to evaluate their skills, techniques, discipline, and overall progress in the art of Taekwondo.

The examination aimed to provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate their mastery of Taekwondo techniques and principles, while also assessing their understanding of discipline, self-control, and the core values of the sport. Athletes were tested in key areas including patterns, sparring, breaking, and poomsae.

During the examination, students displayed varying levels of proficiency, reflecting their individual stages of development. Many athletes showcased excellent technique, focus, and control, while others demonstrated noticeable improvement and strong potential for future growth.

Overall, the End of Year Taekwondo Promotion Examination was described as a success, highlighting the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of the students. All participants were commended for their efforts and encouraged to continue their Taekwondo journey with renewed commitment.

Speaking after the event, the Assistant Coach of the Upper East Taekwondo Association, Jesse Apalazoya, expressed his gratitude to the examiners, instructors, and parents for their support and active participation in the examination process. He noted that the association looks forward to the continued growth and progress of the athletes in the coming year.

Taekwondo in the Upper East Region continues to nurture discipline, confidence, and sporting excellence among its athletes.
