Party elects new constituency executives in a peaceful delegates conference at UTAS, with leaders pledging unity and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2028 elections.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has successfully elected a new team of constituency executives for the Navrongo Central Constituency following a peaceful and well-organised constituency delegates conference.
The elections, held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS), were conducted in a calm atmosphere with no incidents recorded.
Personnel from the Ghana Police Service and other security agencies, led by the Kassena-Nankana Municipal Police Commander, DSP Lawrence Adombire, maintained law and order throughout the exercise, ensuring a smooth and transparent electoral process.
The declaration of results generated mixed reactions among delegates. Supporters of victorious candidates celebrated their success, while those whose preferred candidates were unsuccessful accepted the outcome and quietly departed the venue.
Following the declaration of results, the newly elected executives were sworn into office and charged to discharge their responsibilities diligently and work towards strengthening the party ahead of future elections.
Speaking after the swearing-in ceremony, the executives expressed appreciation to delegates for the confidence reposed in them and pledged to work with both successful and unsuccessful contestants to foster unity, deepen grassroots mobilisation, and position the party for victory in upcoming elections.

– Second Vice Chairman: Jonas Abasi
– Constituency Secretary: Saibu Slanwiah
– Deputy Secretary: Bawa Zakaria Bonwilla
– Treasurer: Caesar Awepuga
– Constituency Organiser: David Anafo
– Women’s Organiser: Millicent Puruseh
– Youth Organiser: Nimrod Ayebakwo
– Nasara Coordinator: Abdul-Ganiu Adams
– Communications Director: Jacob Asomadawine
The newly elected executives are expected to steer the affairs of the party in the constituency and lead efforts to strengthen the NPP’s grassroots structures as it prepares for the 2028 general elections.
