Kacstone Records donates desks to Paga English and Arabic Primary School
School authorities commend timely intervention as Headteacher appeals for further support to improve library resources and ICT facilities for pupils.
Kacstone Records has donated 15 metal octagonal desks to the Kindergarten (KG) section of the Paga English and Arabic Primary School to improve teaching and learning conditions for pupils.
The donation follows an appeal made by the school’s headteacher for support to address the furniture challenges facing the KG department.
Presenting the desks to the school on Monday, June 1, a representative of Kacstone Records, Mohammed Issah Abakuri, said the record label responded to the appeal after recognizing the need to provide a more conducive learning environment for the young learners.
“Following the appeal from the school authorities, Kacstone Records saw the need to come to their aid by providing these desks to support effective teaching and learning,” he said.
Abakuri noted that children are the future of the nation and therefore deserve the necessary support to help them receive quality education. He explained that this conviction informed the organization’s decision to prioritize the donation.
He further called on other stakeholders, philanthropists, and well-meaning individuals to emulate the gesture and complement government efforts aimed at improving basic education in the country.
Receiving the desks on behalf of the school, the Headteacher, Alhassan Bukari, expressed gratitude to Kacstone Records for the timely intervention.
He recounted that upon assuming leadership of the school in 2025, he observed that the learning conditions for pupils in the KG department were inadequate, prompting him to seek support from the organization.
“When I took over the administration of the school in 2025, I realized that the conditions under which these young learners were studying were not the best. The children were sitting on benches without writing surfaces, making it difficult for them to write and participate effectively in lessons,” he said.
Bukari expressed optimism that the new desks would significantly improve the learning experience of the pupils and create a more conducive classroom environment.
He also appealed to other benevolent organizations and individuals to support the school by providing books for its library and assisting in equipping its computer laboratory to enhance reading culture and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) education among pupils.
The donation is expected to improve classroom participation and learning outcomes for the kindergarten pupils while easing some of the infrastructural challenges confronting the school.
