NDC’s Alfred Aliah optimistic about government’s commitment to 24-hour economy
Aliah said the initiative is already operational in some sectors and has the potential to boost efficiency and expand employment opportunities nationwide.
A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Team for the Chiana-Paga Constituency, Alfred Aliah, has expressed optimism that the government will strengthen the ongoing implementation of the 24-hour economy policy.
Speaking on the Big Mike Breakfast Show on Monday November 10, Aliah said the initiative is already operational in some sectors and has the potential to boost efficiency and expand employment opportunities nationwide.
“I expect an improvement on what is already being done. Some agencies are already operating a 24-hour system, the Passport Office, for instance, and the ports, where more people have been employed to cover shifts that previously had no staff,” Aliah noted.
He commended the government’s implementation of the 2025 Budget, adding that he is confident the 2026 financial plan will present a clearer roadmap for national progress.
“I expect the government to build on the progress already made and ensure that the 24-hour economy becomes a sustainable part of our economic structure.” He said.
