President Mahama’s one-year performance signals capacity to deliver lasting reforms – NDC Communicator

Asurayaga expressed confidence in the President’s leadership, citing what she described as visible and tangible development interventions in her constituency within just one year of his administration.

A member of the National Democratic Congress NDC Communications Team for the Chiana-Paga Constituency, Angelina Asurayaga, says President John Dramani Mahama’s performance within his first year in office is a clear indication that he can be trusted to deliver the irreversible economic and governance reforms he has promised.

Speaking on the Big Mike Breakfast Show on Wednesday, January 7, Asurayaga expressed confidence in the President’s leadership, citing what she described as visible and tangible development interventions in her constituency within just one year of his administration.

According to her, the impact of government initiatives at the constituency level has strengthened public trust in President Mahama’s broader reform agenda.

“For the past one year, the Chiana-Paga Constituency has actually seen the light. There are a lot of projects ongoing, including smaller but important interventions such as the provision of benches for health facilities across the constituency,” she said.

She further noted that several primary schools in the area are currently undergoing renovation, improving the learning environment for pupils, while the government’s free tertiary education-related initiatives have benefited many students from the constituency.

“There are a number of primary schools under renovation, and the stress-free fees initiative has touched many tertiary students, including those from Chiana-Paga,” Asurayaga added.

Assessing the President’s performance so far, the NDC communicator acknowledged that it is still early days but maintained that the progress made within the first year is encouraging.

“If we are to rate the President’s four-year term at 25 percent per year, then in this first year he has already achieved over 24 percent,” she said. “I am hopeful that the remaining three years will consolidate these gains and take the performance to 100 percent.”
