Wa: Man jailed 7 years for defiling 13-year-old girl
A statement from the Public Affairs Directorate of the Upper West Regional command of the Ghana Police Service on April 29 says Abudi was apprehended through a proactive policing effort.
A Wa Circuit Court in the Upper West Region has sentenced Mohammed Abudi to seven years in prison for defiling a 13-year-old girl.
Mohamed was arrested on April 13, 2025, after reports of his involvement in defiling the teenage girl on April 11 at Guli, a community in Wa Municipality.
A statement from the Public Affairs Directorate of the Upper West Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service on April 29 says Abudi was apprehended through a proactive policing effort.
Abudi, during the court hearing at the Wa Circuit Court, presided over by His Lordship Jonathan Avoogo, pleaded guilty to the offence.
The Police has issued a stern warning to potential defilement offenders to desist from such acts.
