BOGISS restores boarding status of student at centre of alleged sexual misconduct case
BOGISS management has reversed its earlier decision to place the student on day status, following a GES directive, allowing her to continue her education as a boarding student while investigations into the alleged misconduct case continue.
Management of Bolgatanga Girls’ Senior High School (BOGISS) has restored the boarding status of a student who was previously deboardinised following allegations of sexual misconduct involving two security guards.
In a letter, the school said the decision followed a directive from the Ghana Education Service (GES).
According to the letter, the earlier recommendation to place the student on day status for one academic year has been reversed, with her boarding status now fully restored.
The school management expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the earlier decision.
The development follows ongoing attention to the alleged sexual misconduct case involving the student and two security personnel, who have reportedly been handed over to the Police for investigation.
The school’s latest action is expected to allow the student to continue her education under boarding status while investigations into the allegations proceed.
