Lawyer Kpemka donates to elderly man after viral video defending ousted Bosco college principal
The elderly man, identified as Apuri Amoah, caught the attention of many Ghanaians on social media for his articulate and passionate commentary during an interview with journalists.
Former Member of Parliament for Tempane and Deputy Minister of Justice, Joseph Dindiok Kpemka, has extended a gesture of goodwill to an elderly man in Navrongo after a video of the man passionately defending the former principal of St. John Bosco’s College of Education went viral.
The elderly man, identified as Apuri Amoah, caught the attention of many Ghanaians on social media for his articulate and passionate commentary during an interview with journalists.
In the video, Amoah strongly opposed the decision of the college’s governing board to remove Professor Joseph Amikuzuno from his position as principal.
Apuri Amoah described the decision as unfair, highlighting Prof. Amikuzuno’s dedication and achievements during his tenure. He further lamented the culture of replacing competent public servants due to what he termed as “parochial interests.”
Deeply moved by the man’s eloquence and principled stance, Kpemka reached out to Amoah via a phone call and made a cash donation of an undisclosed amount to support him.
According to the former MP, the donation was not only an act of appreciation but also a recognition of Amoah’s wisdom.
“I was touched by the viral video. I wish we had more elders like you to continue inspiring the younger generation.” Kpemka said in the call.
Kpemka also assured the elderly man of his continuous support, urging him to keep using his voice to contribute positively to national discourse.
