Paga Market Traders honour Kacstone Record’s for renovating the market pavilion
The leadership of the association presented a citation to the Managing Director of Kacstone Records, Wenawome Aborah, in recognition of the support.
Members of the Paga Traders Association in the Kassena-Nankana West District have honoured the management of music and events logistics company, Kacstone Records, for renovating two pavilions at the Paga Central Market valued at GHC 24,258.
At a short gathering held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the market centre, the leadership of the association presented a citation to the Managing Director of Kacstone Records, Wenawome Aborah, in recognition of the support.
The citation attests to the company’s timely intervention at a period when hope of fixing the facility had almost been lost.
“At a time when hope was low and no funds were available, you stepped forward on your own initiative, providing all materials and sponsoring the entire work.” Part of the citation read.

Samitu Kumoriwo, spokesperson for the group, told the media that the intervention comes after years of unsuccessful appeals to the government and political authorities for support.
She noted that the renovation will help address the challenges traders previously faced, including exposure to the scorching sun and the lack of shelter during rainfall.
“Previously, when it rained, we had no place to run to. This is the only large pavilion in the market where we seek shelter. Now, after what Kacstone Record’s has done, we have a safe place.” She said.

Wenawome Aborah, who received the citation together with Michael Adangba, expressed appreciation to the traders for the recognition and dedicated the honour to God.
He indicated that the intervention forms part of Kacstone Records’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
“I am happy you have called me to demonstrate your appreciation for the little we have done. I did not do it alone; I did it with my father, Michael Adangba,”
“Your daily efforts sustain homes, support education, and keep our local economies running, supporting you is not only an act of kindness but also an investment in homes and communities.” He added.
Aborah further observed that the market has remained deteriorating for years and called on stakeholders to support its renovation and expansion.
“Growing up, I used to harvest and sell fruits in this market to survive, and for more than 20 years, it has remained in its current condition. I find it unsafe for women and children, hence the need for intervention.” He stated.

Michael Adangba, addressing the traders, said the intervention, though modest, reflects their commitment to contributing to community development. He also urged the traders to remain united.
“We do not need to have much before we can support. It takes a good heart to give. I urge you to remain united and always allow reason to prevail when challenges arise.” He said.

The traders also used the opportunity to appeal for further support, including proper electrification of the market, a designated refuse disposal site, and expansion of the facility.
